Refurbishment of the 11th Tee

As some of you will be aware we are going to upgrade the 11th tee at Elland Golf Club.

The work will take place in 2 phases; firstly we will remove the green matting at the back of the tee - this will be used in other ares on the course so will not be wasted. The back of the tee will then be fenced off to create a “storage” area for the materials required for the development. Phase 1 will start ASAP - a notice will be in the foyer for anyone interested in assisting in the project to add their names to.

Phase 2 will commence later in the year - repositioning the steps, facing the tee with a dry stone wall, levelling the whole tee and improving the whole appearance of the area.

Whole in 1 Golf have been kind enough to photograph the area and create an “artists” impression of the finished project - available to see on the screens in the clubhouse.

We are extremely grateful to sectors of EGC who have pledged monies towards the project and to raise the balance a variety of fund raising activities will be taking place during 2020.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the work and thank you in advance for your patience. If you require and further information please speak to Peter Thompson or Tony Tighe

The overall aim of the project is to improve the course for our members and visitors
